Catching up.

Oh Boy,
I'm not a very good Blogger. I see some Bloggers write almost every day, or every week. I'm lucky if I do it once a quarter. I really should try and get Blogging more regularly.

Since I last wrote I've been away again. This time a week out prospecting around the Cue area, and then about 10 days with my sister and husband (Elaine & Steve). Adam & I went from Cue to Geraldton for a couple of days and then moved on to Port Gregory and met E&S there.
Port Gregory is a small fishing town about 2 hours from Geraldton, via Northampton. We were there for about 6 days and tried some fishing, but there were none to be had. Everyone there was complaining - no fish!!
One day we went up to Kalbarri and had lunch and looked around, then another day we checked out the local historical site - a Convict Depot. It's a spot where convicts were shipped to and local people would collect them from there. Its all in ruins now, but the historical society is trying to fix some of the buildings and there is quite a good spiel on it all.
Most days we used to scan the water for whales and most days were rewarded with sightings. One day they seemed to be playing and lifting their tails right out of the water. Usually you just see the spout of water and then their back as they surface. Wonderful to see.

We were away about two and half weeks and I must say I really enjoyed my time with my sister. It was the first time we had spend any length of time together as couples and I think we all got along quite well.

Since being home I've been trying to get on and finish my "Wildflower" quilt. I started it in Feb.08 and have done the blocks Quilt-as-you-go. Now I have to add some borders and am procrastinating about how to do it. Think I've worked it out now. I'd post a photo but our cameral is not working, so will have to try and remember to post photo's when we get a new one. My quilt might be finished by then ..... I hope. The pattern was in APQ about 3 years ago - by Jenny Rofe I think the lady was. It was a 3 part project, but our quilt group met once a month for about 6 months for a social get-together and help for those who needed it.

I'm still cleaning out and working on moving my sewing room. These things cant be rushed! I have almost sorted out my fabrics now, so very soon will start moving out the end room and painting it so I can move in. Hope everything still fits how I want it to.

Enough! I'll try and post again soon (have I said that before??)

Cheers.
