After X,mas

Hi,
Well, today is 28th December, and here in Pinjarra it climbed to 38 degrees - a tad warm! But, in the house it wasnt too bad - I managed to sit and sew for a bit. I've been searching for a sketch of a pattern I saw on someone's blog - about a year ago. I dont have details of the blog and cant find the sketch - dammit. This blogger had made a quilt for her son using Aussie blocks and then they seemed to "float" on the background. I'll have to go online and see if anyone can help me there.

Had a great Xmas. Matt (DS2) came over about 9.30 and made sushi to take for lunch, and about 10.30 Jason (DS1) and his partner Maree arrived and we exchanged gifts. Then we all went to Adam's sister's place - there were 37 of us altogether!!! And enough food for 137 - as you do! Was good to catch up with everyone. We arrived about 12.30 and left about 6.30pm.

Then on Sunday (27th) we met up with my side of the family, at a park in Mandurah. There were 13 of us for a shared picnic lunch and exchange of pressies. Another good day.

We did buy a new camera, but I'm still a learner and Adam is the driver. I must get my act in to gear and learn for myself how to operate it and work out how to get my photo's onto my posts. I did it about a year ago, but have forgotten now. I can take the photo's OK, but its getting them onto my blog that I'll have to think about and play with. I'm sure I'll be able to do it; - just need the time and inclination to do it.

I'm off to do a post to scquilters and see if I can contact the "floating" blogger ... :-)

Faye.
